Planets

This page is all about the 8(not including Pluto)planets in the Solar System. Scroll down to here

all about them!

Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. The closeness of Mercury is what

makes a year on Mercury only 88 Earth days! But even though a year is fast, a

day is slow at 58 Earth days! Mercury is the only planet(except Venus) that

doesn't have a moon! Now, why don't we fly to Venus?

Venus is the hottest planet in the Solar System, with temperatures up to 900

degrees Fahrenheit and its atmospheric pressure is 90x denser than Earth's!

It is the only planet (except Mercury) that doesn't have a moon! Now, why don't

we take a break and go back to Earth?

Earth is the only planet known to support life in the Universe! But hold on, there

are lots of planets on the waiting list of being discovered! Earth is the biggest

solid planet in the Solar System. It also has 1 moon, sometimes known as Luna,

after the Roman god of the moon. That's enough...time for Mars!

Mars is the only planet that has proof of life that existed a very long time ago. It

is named after the Roman god of war. In the next millenium, it may be our future

home! It has two moons named Phobos and Deimos. Okay, let's leave the Rocky

Planets and go to the Gas Giants!
